Heteroteuthis dispar, a Deep-sea squid<< Cephalopod SpeciesHeteroteuthis dispar is a three inch long deep-sea sepiolid that ejects bioluminescent clouds instead of ink! This behavior is called "fire shooting" and it is thought to have the same effect as the ink clouds produced by many shallow water cephalopods.
